The Finals will be held at The Ironworks in Inverness on the 30th and 31st of July. (Doors open at 7pm) The finals will be judged by a panel and the winners announced on the night. The winners have now been upgraded to play on the Seedlings Stage at this years Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.

Thanks to The Highland Music College in Alness we are now able to offer the winning band a demo to be recorded at the college by the sound engineering students. The college and students will also be getting involved in other ways too. So we're delighted to have their support.
The
Competition
Nessmp3.com
are running a talent search competition during 2008. We are looking for
young bands and solo artists (under 21) who perform their own
material. The competition will take place over several nights between March
and June and split in to several heats. With the winner being announced
at the end of
June. The closing date for entry to the competition will be April 31st.

The winning band or solo artist will receive free entry and peform on
The Potting Shed stage at this years Tartan Hearts Festival at Belladrum.
The competition is open to all genres of music. We will try to place bands
of similar genres on the same night where possible.
Judging
will be by means of a video of each performance
which will be uploaded to this page with a time limited poll vote attached.
There have been a
number of queries raised over the online voting system. Whilst we recognise
that there is no way to guarantee 100% security and we are aware that it is
possible to log multiple votes. It is not possible to do this without leaving
a trail. We will be checking the logs regularly. Any band found to be abusing
the voting poll WILL be disqualified.
All
competition heats will be held at Invergordon Arts Centre, though other
venues may be introduced later. Invergordon Arts Centre is a seated
auditorium with a capacity of 100 people.
The competition is open to any band or solo artist under the age of 21.
You must perform your own material and be available on the 8th of August.
